Mmm pretty great results - I'll take it! Mostly was rooting for the $5 to be MS70 :D Jaaaaackpot.

This is the first time I've ordered one of their special labels. And first time sending in for First Strike (since it was already included in the fee of the label..), so I'm pretty excited

    Wilt The Stilt......loved that guy.

When I was playin' ball in High School, the black guys used to call me Mel Counts......clumsy white guy. But I could score, and so could Mel. :)

Nice! Uncirculated gold in MS-70 could prove to be a nice addition to your collection. Curious to see how many they sell.

I think the mint pricing for the gold is way out of line......I choked on the other issues but I refused to swallow on the gold.

Yeah, the high price of PM, the mint surcharges, collector malaise, and a pandemic may conspire to keep sales down, especially the gold.

Unrelated, I saw a "courtside release" slabbed dollar on eBay, they were asking over $300 for it. Didn't bid.

When I was new to this gig, I bought two gold coins from a dealer. He was heading to a show and he took the two coins with them to have them graded. Although the coins didn't score high, it was worth it to be walked through the process. Coins I buy from the Mint, stay in their packing. All other buys are bought in NGC or PCGS slabs. I did buy two coins from two other TPG. Many are complaining that the price of the Mint's gold coins, but sometimes, especially now, you have to pay the piper if you want to dance.

Pseudo-related.. just realized they didn't include TrueView for my half eagle, even though I checked the TrueView box for that row. Seems the total they charged me was $5 less (ie. sans TV cost), which is good; but kind of a bummer they forgot the photo...

The NBA coins are not appealing to me. I'll pass on all of them.

I like these mintage figures - especially for the uncirculated $5 piece. Would love to see that mintage stay under 5,000.

That was the key for a long time but several of the recent ones have been lower and almost seems like every new one besides the Apollo is the new key with some of the more boring topics and bad designs that have been happening. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the basketball one stayed under that number given the design and how turned off many people are at sports at the moment

Just got these delivered back from PCGS. The 50C and $5 are in normal slabs; the S$1 came in thicker slabs. Makes sense why they wouldn't fit into standard slabs.

First time I've seen these thicker slabs - quite neat. Bummer is they don't fit into a regular PCGS box :p Sounds like 2014 baseball HOF came in these thicker holders as well. I'd imagine the 2019 Apollo did too.

Yes, you are correct (and I should have known that, as I looked at the mintages not that long ago).

Got'm all, with the exception of the current issue, and that's due to the fact that it's extraordinarily overpriced. I do enjoy being 'fleeced' by the mint, but not 'had'........
