good morning everyone, I was wndering if someone could tell me how much a $50.00 gold eagle is worth and how i could get the most out of it without getting the least for it, i got an ok deal on it but i really need money right now , if you could help and lead me in the right path that help me so much, thanks.
That is a lovely hunk of gold. I can tell you the gold value alone is just south of $1800.00 right now. Any intrinsic value is up to the buyer when it comes to gold bullion. I would get the tape off the clamshell before I tried to market the piece.
I do not. However I do know the US Mint takes great care in creating the bullion coins in an effort to avoid errors and such.
Where did you purchase it? I would start there. Dealers usually are more open to buy from customers they sold to.
It's a 2020 and with gold around $1800 an ounce you'll get about $250 less. It needs a different holder as that will wear sliding around in its current case.
If you can wait a week or two for the money, JM Bullion's buy-back price for 2020 AGEs is $1823 tonight. I'd be reluctant to take a $250 haircut on a gold bullion coin. Of course, that might just mean I wouldn't find any local buyers.
