Just when I thought I was getting good at identifying coins, this one came along lol. It looks pretty cool, but it's reminiscent of a widow's mite or prutah I think. I am not sure what symbols are on there, but if anyone can help that would be great. I'm trying to nail down an attribution, so any points in the right direction can help. Thanks, as always. You guys are great
@Xodus, I believe it is this lepton of Herod Archelaus. A lepton was worth half of a prutah. Judaea, Herodians. Herod Archelaus. 4 BC-6 AD. AE Lepton (1.62 gm, 15mm). Obv.: Galley prow, 'Herod' in Greek. Rev.: 'Ethnarch' in wreath.
