Morning y’all! Just curious If anyone knows what’s going on here. Just some one messing around with gold paint and stamps?
There are Gold and silver plated coins done by third party companies. They are novelty items. The added years are called counterstamps.. Yep.. All considered Damage
I'd keep it anyways. I like to keep novelty items like that. Once found a penny that looked like someone bleached it - it was a 1967 and it looked silver or steel. Still have it.
As already mentioned, PMD. Probably a token, homemade or sold by someone. The extra dates are crude for a company sold token. I too would hold on to it as a novelty. Your other halves are just environmental toning. NAV, no added value.
I have a gold plated penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and JFK. They are all keepers in my opinion if not in value in the enhancement it gives to the coin.

there are some counterstamped coins that are collectible and valuable if done by certain people. They are never plated though, so this isn't one of them.
