77 Penny Question.

  1. I was looking over this penny and it Appears to have a lot of MD. But looking at the Eye. The Eylid carries over and Appears to form another Eye.

Hard to tell without coin in hand, plus being a new member, maybe one of the more experienced members will respond...?

Possibly a die break or die crack. But pictures are blurry. If it is raised and it looks like a crack, then it's a die crack. This is caused when the die hitting the coins literally "cracks". Hence the name. Or it could be a die break. Die breaks are bigger (usually) and just looks like a splash of metal got on the coin.

Looks like a die break. Worth 1 cent IMO.
