This product is to good not to share with my collector friends....i came across this company called the filtered vac-vault company. www.filteredvacvault.com They make a vacuumed sealed storage container that holds coins and other collectibles. With your household vaccum cleaner and its built-in filter it actually filters the air going in the vault while removing the contaminates out the vault. The air inside the vault is pure and clean..I have been using this container for about a year now and it works GREAT! It even holds the seal... Did i mention it is reusable ...it can be opened and closed as often as you want to add and remove your coins as needed .It actually works. I never saw anything like this before. If you go to the website you can read more on it. i think someone finally came up with a way to protect our investments.
Do you know if there is there some kind of guarentee of protecting my coins associated with this product? (Oh, and are you affiliated with the company? If you are, I have some other questions...) -- Stujoe
In all honesty I believe this thread to be SPAM - and I should probably delete it. However - on the off chance it is not SPAM and it is just a new member trying to share what they consider helpful information I will leave it for the time being.
in all honesty i had not intended this message to be spam...i met the inventer of this product a year or so ago. I purchased one of his units and have been using it since. I collect State Quarters ,Kenndy halfs and proof sets. When i stored them in my dresser draw i could see them starting to tarnishing. I figured what could it hurt to try this product and i am glad i did... I have had my collection in the vault for approx a year or more and my coins look as new as when i first purchased them from the mint. I am not trying to sell anything nor do i have anything to gain by posting this message...if you feel it is spam and want to delete it ...thats fine with me...i just wanted to share my experience.
Well I for one think that spreading any credible information about coin storage is a good thing. I have never before heard of this product, but I will look into it. Thank you for posting it.
I wonder how much protection that would be over just a tupperware type container with rechargeable silica gel canisters? Would the vacuum really help much? -- Stujoe
I use silica gel with great results. I will do some research on this product. Sounds good from an initial point of view. I have no idea how well it would work using a vaccum, although I have used the space bags for clothes. Same principle. Those are fantastic.
Hey now! If they can get this thing to shrink my coins down for storage and then have them poof back up to normal when I want to get them out and look at them...I am all over it! -- Stujoe
As you can see - the thread is still here. Sorry for my comments Carol - but the Forum rules are the Forum rules. I'm just here to help out and see that they are obeyed. So I hope you understand why I said what I did. There are a great many SPAM posts made here - I do my best to catch them as soon as I can. They will be removed. But I see nothing wrong with one collector trying to post what they feel is helpful information to other collectors. For that's what the Forum is all about.
