1983 penny difernt color and one cent on back is lower to rim and wieghs 2.62 grams

    Slightly overweight but within tolerance.
    Environmental toning on one side can occur and it's normal.

    It's close to the rim because of Die Deterioration.

    Nothing major.

    That is a normal weight for a copper over zinc penny from 1982 and after. Copper 3.1 weight was also produced in 1982. My opinion

    It could be what is termed a "brass plated" cent. If there is enough zinc in the plating solution, it will give the cent a yellowish look. The more zinc in the solution, the yellower the cent.
