I’m in the MS 64 camp. Nice coin. I think the few hits would hold it back. Lord only knows what the TPGs think.

I thought this coin was a tiny bit overgraded; glad to see some of you said MS66.

Certainly a nice coin but I never expected a 67. At least I got the Red correct. Lol

Good for you! Personally, I have a strong belief that PCGS overgrades on a regular basis. I know, I know, boo on me, but I have lots of coins in PCGS that I (and others) feel are overgraded. Most folks will discount NCG, but I'm the opposite, I discount PCGS. I looked at this 67, and I looked at my NGC 66, (which was one of my basis' for my 64RD guess), and I looked at PCGS Photograde to guess the 64, and I don't see it.

Beyond the '44, '45, or '46 dates, how would one know if it were made from shell casings?

In terms of this coin, I'll wait to see it in hand before casting final judgement, but I - much like many of you - am not convinced it's 67... I pulled out a lovely MS66RD I own. This 66 (in hand) looks like it has less dings than the originally posted coin.

As far as I know, those were the only years.

I thought 66 red myself a technical 65+ but a color and luster bump

Nice, but I am a bit surprised at 67. It got a bump for color, as it is pure red, not borderline red-brown.

Your birth was a mistake. Shouldn’t you been born after the war. Lol. 44 I one of my favorite coin years. Let me thank your parents for keeping it real during the tuff times. Now it’s your turn to have a baby during these tuff times. Do it for us. Lol

I was gonna say 65, figured TPG would push to 66, but 67 just plain seems ridiculous.
