Curious about grade, 1896-O dollar

    High VF details, but the surfaces don't look right to me.
    Edit: The obverse seems to show less wear than the reverse. Hmmm.

    Yeah I'll give it a nice F12-15 ish grade. They would be nice pictures if they were in focus, so that's all you got to ameliorate

    The coin's technical grade is actually pretty high . . . I'd be at XF45 or so . . . but it exhibits damaged rims, and is worth significantly less as a result.

    It looks to me like this coin has been in some kind of a bezel due to the marks on the rim.

    VF-EF details, but in pretty nasty shape otherwise. Basically a junk box coin.
