i personally dont like the reverse design staring with that eagle with 2 wings which looks completely wrong , then Jupiter himself looks too skinny , and most are heavy corroded

The OP coin has Cyzicus mintmark and the one above (strongly repatinated. I can guess who offered it) has a Nicomedia mintmark. The mint makes a difference.

It is well known that the mint workers at Nicomedia ate a lot of Cheetos.

These Jupiter reverses vary widely in style, depending on mint. If you look closely at the eagle on the coin in the photo from Wildwinds, which is from the same mint as the OP, you can see that the wings look similar. In fact, both reverses look very similar, although they are not a die match.

That being said, coins of Martinian are very rare, and it is reasonable to be skeptical. I wouldn't even consider buying one off eBay, for example. Where did you see the OP?

In many cases, I question those two letters and suspect that the A's reported were delta's with wear/damage/style problems. I see delta on PeteB's coin which I believe is at least 50% accurate. Below is my Cyzicus A from that issue (RIC 14) ex. Shick, 2016. It is a little known fact that Cheetos was the snack of choice among Eastern mint workers. :troll: I bought this one for the hair curls not the cheese curls. rv5079fd3302.jpg

Purchased from Incitatus Coins. Not a patina offender. The desert patina is genuine. I tasted it.

Interesting that the coin is currently listed 8 Times on eBay , each with the same photos, by two different sellers: numis_corner and cdma59.

Gee, maybe I shouldn't buy it.
