I don't know these either, but say fake. The hair on the obv and details on rev and the change from the fields towards the rim look funny.
yes, you would be suprised how good the detail can be on ancient coinage. There are some coins that would make this one look silly. stainless
Romans produced some of the most outstanding examples of ancient portraiture in certain periods... Coins like these would have been produced during what I would think is around the pinnacle of artistry in Roman coins producing outstanding likenesses of their ruler. Like these guys as a tiny sample: They came a long way baby...by the middle ages they would be back to punching out rough dies
