Since it's Guess the Grade season, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. :D

I might be way high but I’m thinking 66. Looks like an NGC Fatty.

64 I see a fair amount of bagginess but good luster

That is a nice coin and I'm giving it a MS66. The picture is a bit too dark to tell though.

Very cool looking nickel; almost looks chocolate. The luster in hand must be pretty insane since even in the photos the fields look bright and - lack of better word - shiny. I think this could be MS64

The TPGs are very tough on the 38-D Buffalo and they require outstanding luster and eye appeal for an MS67 grade. I think your coin has both but the photos are hiding this coin’s true beauty.

    MS67

Wow! It is hard to say, from the photograph, but Paul is excellent on grading toned nickels. In this case, he may well be right—the coin may be a gorgeous gem. Based on his expertise, since I am more of a newbie to nickels, I will raise my guess to gem—MS 66.

Mine is toned different but it looks the same so I went MS-65.

I am excellent at grading Jefferson Nickels, my skills at grading Buffalo Nickels are like a raging dumpster fire. I haven't gotten a Buffalo Nickel GTG correct in over 10 years, and yes, I'm a little salty about it.

This one is an interesting case where everyone guessed high (just like last time... I'm sorry @Lehigh96 but your streak continues for now :(:D and you went up 2 points vs 2016... @kSigSteve you were only 0.5 points higher ... @Mainebill and @longshot you two are 1 point lower vs 2016 ).

My guess is the hit/scratch across the middle of the cheek (not super noticeable but can be seen at certain angles) was what held this back from a 64/65.
