What would you do with this 1909 IHC?

Here is an IHC that I forgot I had and it seems to have some problems. First it looks like it has 2 strike throughs on the 4th and 5th Indian Feathers. These are holes that aren't corroded. There is plenty of blue/green patina crystals on both sides of the coin. The photos don't show it but the lowest diamond is visible.

Should I soak it in acetone? Boil it in oil? (joke) or what?

rub it down with coin care or blue ribbon it takes that stuff off and doesnt mess the coin up

Get a soft makeup brush from the wife, and some acetone. Soak it in Acetone for about 1 minute, then lightly brush the crud away. ( push the crud, dont brillo it)

Use a rose thorn (still attached to the stem, easier to handle), and with a loupe, pick away at the hard to get areas. ( good for the edges and in between dentils and such micro areas)

Dip a Q-tip in Blue Ribbon and then roll on the coin, lightly brush again, pat dry with a t-shirt shred/rag.

It's a goner, but you can save it and make it look better. The coin is damaged, I would not worry too much about hurting it anymore than it already is.

Your result will be a cleaned coin, but perhaps a better looking coin

    Your problem is PVC damage.

If that coin had an S on the reverse, I would not encourage any self preservation, but a trip to NCS.

Bruce, photograph it after the experiments, I would like to see how it comes out.
