194?-S Lincoln Cent Red Error?

    Need help figuring out what's up with this penny and year. I'm thinking 1940 or 1946? PMD?

    Appears to be a 1940: the "0" is almost level with the "4" in your top pic. Altogether, looks like a well circulated struck-through-grease to me, but I'm not entirely sure, because of the scratches.

    @paddyman98, what do you think?

    Welcome to Coin Talk. Based on the closeup of the date, IMO it looks more like a 1946 S Cent. The tail of the 6 is higher than the top of the 4.
