What a load of Poo.......I thought we were going 'cashless' as a society. Everyone complains about how heavy their pocket gets when they're walking the dog and going to 7-11. So much easier to pull out a 'card' to pay for that latte........
Oh, please. Lattes are so 15 minutes ago. The cool kids are now ordering carmel-choco-soy-frappe-mochachinos.
Since we began the shutdown in New Orleans in late March, I have spent exactly zero coins on anything except parking meters; and for the first time since then, I took a bill out of my wallet at the bank to get more quarters for the parking meters (got a nice roll of new park quarters). My guess is that hardly anybody is out spending cash, but I haven't heard about the mints halting production. So I would presume that we have a glut of coins rather than a shortage. On the other hand, if people want to start hoarding and make our collections more valuable, I'm all for it!
There's plenty, cash is just sitting as many businesses weren't allowed to operate and most are using credit cards right now and coin roll hunters are sitting on hoards they haven't dumped. Hopefully we can start putting some fees on coin roll hunting so I don't have to absorb the costs of people ordering boxes and boxes of change to look through
So that's how countries like Ecuador and Cambodia can use U.S. coins and currency... Just a lot sitting around. I wonder why people don't like using the $1 as a coin?
I posted to my friends that I am offering high end Zincolns for the low low bargain price of only $.25 each. Minimum order of 10. Tax, shipping, dealer prep and other charges are more. Still waiting for the first order.
I've often wondered, since it must be a technical term and highly used, just exactly how much is a "butt load"?
Use a mirror and look behind your self? Go out to the ideal height and weight tables, subtract that from your actual weight and then add 5 lb could you should have some muscle in your gluteus maximus anyway... 42... The answer to the question about life the universe and everything
I've always wondered where the newly minted coins go every year. The US Mint produces many billions per year, and now we are running short of coins? There are only so many coin collectors, and I can't believe that there are too many others hoarding zincolns and clad nickels, dimes, and quarters. And they don't just evaporate. Nor do I think the government makes a concerted effort to withdraw coins from circulation just because they become several years old, not like currency. The big mystery is upon us - perhaps aliens are stealing them? lol
