    Good morning,

    Happy Father's Day 2020! :happy:

    My wife asked me what I wanted to do for Father's Day.. I told her.. Metal Detecting!
    It has been my Sunday morning tradition anyway :woot:

    I did a very early and quick 2 hour detecting hunt this morning.. 4:30 - 6:30

    I have been blessed that since May 9th of this year I have been finding many old US Coins using a new Metal Detector - The Minelab Vanquish 440

    Wow Paddy. Are you still harvesting that one area you avoided for years?

    The original spot I kind of hunted out.. so I have been hitting the other areas near it with good results!

    @Randy Abercrombie
    Here is an old picture I found of the park I detect circa 1940's.. There were boat piers and storehouses there once and most of that park is landfill.
    The building on the bottom is now a public restroom.
    The area to the left before the baseball field is where the old coins are buried!
    The tennis court is still there.

    And here is a current aerial view from above with tennis court.
    Those trees have really grown over the decades!
    Where the number 5 is shown is the sweet spot area!

    There’s some old properties near me. Now I think I’ll have to spend some of my afternoon with my detector!

    My dad used to live in an old Victorian house. He never had a metal detector, but by chance he found an 1844 O seated liberty quarter, and an 185? flying eagle cent.
