:rolling: I have many coins I am trying to find a buyer for.. but every thing I am seeing is more risk than help. ( small desert town here) The investment of > ALL < of the coins. was made by a HUGE bad investment! like $59 each. of all coins. and now the offers of buying them. are like $8 - $16.50 limited ones on the high amount. I am pulling my hair out wanting to find a place to get the most money out of this coins.. and not only my coins.. but the poor investers things too.. we are talking a high risk here. I have done what I could. having the main invester. to return the last lot. under the 45 day return pollacy. but now have to find a place to sell the bulk. Ebay is WAY to risky now.. = chargebacks . high final value fees/ listing fees/ bad feedback/ shipping stars.. NO WAY. The things I am trying to find the best sell on I possably can. are. MINT . BU. $1 SILVER American Eagles 1986 -2004 MINT. BU. 99.9 SILVER $5 Canada Maple leafs 1988- 2004 poof sets 0f 3 EA in org box.. BU. 1885-87 P -1880-82 S -1883-85 O and many 1884 morgan.... 1887 morgan.... 1881 morgan....1880 morgan 1889 morgan ... 1883 morgan... 1881 morgan .. 1878 morgan. most are in this kind of shape.http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b363/teddibubbles/morgan_dollar_prices_uncirculated.jpg Anyone please.. We need to find somewhere to sell some stuff fast.( for the most $ I CAN Ea ) I need to get my new Computer/ scanner to be able to get photos from scanner to sell stuff . and the need is NOW!!!! before this computer blows up lol :computer:.
unfortunately, $8-16 sounds fair for what you have, in fact, some buyers here won't give that much. I would take that and tell the buyer that some lessons cost more than others, sorry
I would check with the larger firms like Kitco or Apmex as to pricing on them buying the ASE and the Canadian. They will give you the best prices for the market. You might be able to find someone of limited knowledge to resell at a higher price, but that might come back to haunt you. Despite the problems of Ebay, the sale of the Morgans would probably go best there unless you want to take less and sell the whole lot to a dealer at their offering. But to do best on Ebay, you need excellent photos, and spread out the listings by 6-10 minutes to get best participation. If you have bad rating, that might not be easy. Jim
no thankyou I only came here for one reason.. you all look MUCH more in tune with what coins are about.. that hurt my feelings you thinking I am trying to push some off on everyone! I am asking only for help from experts as you all are! I am not a collector!.. and have never had a coin untill a few days ago. I have been reading day and night the last few days.. and KNOW when I am in over my head!
my apologies for hurting your feelings. Unless you want to go through the work of selling it all on eBay (at significant risk) yourself, then my suggestion was to take what the dealer offered at $8-$16/coin.
I am just asking everywhere. thank you for any hints.. I just asked that Apmex and Kitco too.. and Cleaned up my FACTS.. the maples are 9999 Fine Sliver 1 oz
I checked out the sample picture of the Morgan dollar. Is that an actual picture of one of your Morgans? Looks like it might be a Carson City Morgan. Check on the reverse of the coin bottom center and look for letter/letters which is a mint mark. That would make a big difference of what your coins will be worth. A coin Red Book is a must. Prices in there are typically about 25 percent or more what you will really get for the coins. Hope this helps http://coins.about.com/od/coinsglossary/g/redbookdefined.htm
After you reach 10 posts here, you can post in the 'Open' section. With pictures, someone here may give more than 16.50 for the BU morgans. they go for around 20-25 on eBay.
me again.. nope sorry that is a photo to the nearest I could find of mine. I am having so much problems with this pc.. I HAVE NO CC.. Here is my camera shot today of some of the coins.. the dark one is refection. its new mint shine. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b363/teddibubbles/Untitled-1jpgojhjfsef.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b363/teddibubbles/Untitled-1jpgogjdse.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b363/teddibubbles/Untitled-1jpgighsdfd.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b363/teddibubbles/Untitled-1jpgkigfsdftr.jpg
I know they look bad.. but its my camera.. the only color is to the moragans but its like tarnish.. they look great too... all others are as clean as can be NEW!
If your camera has a "macro" setting (usually a flower icon) that might help, but I don't think the quality of your coins are the biggest problem but how much you have invested. I saw about 18 coins and 3 or 4 are morgans, the rest are ASE or Canadian silve. Do I understand that you are in this for over $1000 for these 18 coins? The Morgans are an unknown value until we can see really sharp closeups and know the year, mintmark, and Grade. But as I think you suspect, you are in pain. Please understand that almost all of us got took to some degree when we were first getting into coin collecting. Even from the U.S. Mint. I just have a hard time with who ever sold these to you for that price. Jim
Same here. Where are you located and I might be able to reccomend a few places that can help you out. Guy~
I think a good many of us live in small desert towns, although mine has a Best Buy and Victoria's Secret now, but no bookstore chain as they say we aren't literate enough.:rolling: Jim
Jim - sounds like heaven to me - a guy could be satisfied with just these two outlets - electronics and scantily clad pictures of hot models!
