Not a clue. Not even a wild guess.

Obviously I don't have a clue but still make an uneducated guess:)

Bean on the commemorative, assuming the luster is there. Original as you can get, JA loves originality on coins.

I think the uneven toning prevents beaning.

There is more than two. It could have been a gold bean....

This is an interesting case though. What if it failed the green bean? This means CAC thought it was AT BEST a 67 "C" coin whereas PCGS thinks it was an 67 "A" coin (hence the +). Its interesting (to me anyway) that a coin could be graded with such a wide variety of opinion from two experts in grading.

You are correct; I forgot the third option.
Has anyone seen a 67+ with a gold CAC before? I recently saw a 66+ with a gold sticker.

So the question should be, does CAC bean all PCGS + coins? At least, what is the track record? If they do, then how many go gold? If it's rare then why waste the money to get a bean?

Because there’s a push from some quarters to convince us that the only coins that will really sell are PCGS with a bean. From people selling PCGS with a bean, of course.

They don't necessarily bean all plus coins. Of those that they do, not many are gold (gold stickers are fairly uncommon regardless of plus or no plus).

Why do people go for the bean on plus coins? It's the same as for non-plus coins. Some want a second opinion, some trust JA more than the graders, some have been convinced to only buy coins with stickers, and some do it so they can sell to those that only buy stickers.

This one got the sticker...I'm not a fan of the look, but it has that original look that tends to earn a CAC sticker.

Unknown sticker status and deserves a sticker:3
Unknown sticker status and does not deserve a sticker:2

Note: if we don’t know the status of a coin before the reveal and more people say green CAC for a gold CAC coin, then it will go in the area of “Gold CAC on coin but should only be Green” ....see round 3 as the example case

    *
Rd. 10 was 4-4...I interpreted that CircCam would consider it a no (based on a similar example), which swayed the overall vote to a lean towards no.
Rd. 13 was tied between green and gold at 4-4...I interpreted that geekpryde would consider it a gold

It reflects their taste but does not trump my view or what I may offer from my table at a show. I would not pay a premium for that coin bc of sticker, they would have to sell it to cac to get that. At local shows setup at seen few CAC coins nor been offered any.

Some I like some not. Nothing personal, I just don’t believe any one man or entity is the final say and the voting here appears to confirm that. Ultimately it is the buyer who holds that honor whether a winning deal or a lemon he’s buried in.

The CAC coins I have done best on were PQ enough on their own. The ones thumbs down here I believe would be tough sell based on 30 yr bourse room experience.

Exactly, which is no different that pretty much every coin on a bourse floor.

CAC is simply a useful tool...it's another opinion...a very expert opinion in fact. Take it as you will.

About the debate over whether to only buy PCGS CAC coins. I've found that a bit odd. I can understand the Registry thing...I guess that makes sense but why pass on a coin that is in an NGC holder with a sticker if the Registry doesn't matter? That makes NO sense to me.

On a side note I've always thought coins "look" better in PCGS holders for whatever reason so I can understand crossovers or crackouts for that...if you have the money to waste on that...or you are a Registry freak. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
