Nice one. I have some of that too. :)

It has been a funny story. The Slovenian mint issued a little amount of them, so the collectors went crazy. Later, they approved some more. They appeared on the BU sets, so they prizes got more adjusted.

You will be happy that we have some more new €2 commems, and bunch of them are about to come.

I'm happy that I got the first eight of the picture, including San Marino.

BTW, next week I will go to London, so I also hope to improve my bimetallic collection with some pounds

At this stage, it cannot get better than that. The Italian coin is not out yet (comes on 10 Dec AFAIK), and the Vatican piece ... don't think that anybody has it yet. But it sure will cost more than a £2 coin that you pick up in London, hehe.

So this year you can have two Trubars. :) He is depicted on the regular €1 circulation coins (very different portrait though) and on this commem. Have that one too ...

By the way, I would not call the map on the common sides a "Map of the community". That map, in use since 2007, does not only show the euro community or the European Union, but most of Europe - regardless of whether a country is an EU member state or not.

That Dutch "Architecture" coin is a great piece indeed. There are two versions of that coin: a silver-coated copper €5 which can be had at face value, and a more expensive €5 silver coin. The latter is also bigger than the clad version but has the same design.

As for those "pattern" pieces, well, you will know about this, but for others who are less familiar with euro coins let me add that these are not coins. Nothing wrong with collecting such pieces of course. :) However, they are not issued or authorized by any government but medals made for collectors.

I've got two sets of everything. One, I bought as sets, and one I'm trying to get from circulation. of the original 12 I"ve gotten everything but Luxembourg and Ireland.I've seen a few Irish here and there, but only one Lux coin. I've seen more Monaco than Lux.
