I'll say yes for a Green ...the spot bothers me too but I'm guessing the other positives of the coin offset the spot
No bean on ngc 66 pl 1880-s $. Don’t like dark spot reverse plus overall appearance below par. My taste gem brilliant PQ dazzling Cartwheel lustrous PL look (good sellers) which I expect on these. Not a coin I could easily move at positive margin on bourse or online. From a marks point of view technically a 66 but remains a C coin. Would price at bid plus 10 pct for sell. Eye appeal average quality at best. Overall the coin is just not there for me. With CPG about $470 in 66 a nice 64 ch bu pl say at $150 would be a better buy.
I thought the spot would doom it for sure as did others here, but it did CAC. The spot still bothers me, and I will eventually replace it.

It is hard enough just to accurately grade a coin from photographs and get the right number. When you then ask people to perform incremental grading from photographs, it doesn't surprise me at all that they are in disagreement with CAC.
What's wrong with you people? Even after I gave my opinion of no bean many agreed with me! Haven't you figured out by now I don't deserve any respect! Just say the opposite of what I say and the odds are good that you'll be right. Gee whiz, I'm going to have to change my avatar.
It's obvious - we are incapable of learning from hard and bitter experience - we much prefer to stand by our beliefs however wrong experience demonstrates them. To the point of the CAC question on this thread, I think - and I speak only for myself - that after 50 thread pages I still cannot define in a functional manner what CAC is looking for.

Cac has their particular taste it doesn’t always match mine. Per his podcast they sticker what they define as A or B coins. C get no sticker. Buy the coin not the sticker. Pass on coins stickered or not that don’t meet your standards.
No to bean on PCGS 67 plus York. I prefer pieces which are brilliant and at most just lightly toned. Black streak a turnoff. It is a C coin in my view. It could do well with toning hobbyist. Are the spotty cloudy areas perhaps pvc? Even if it was beaned does not meet my standards in what I would spend money on on in this range. If bean sell it to him then.
