    Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.36 g, 11h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck 2 BC-AD 12. Laureate head right / Caius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, two shields and two spears between them; above, on left, simpulum right, and on right, lituus left. RIC I 207; Lyon 82; RSC 43.

    Just received my 2. I like the coins but I’m sorely disappointed with what they call the original ticket.

    I wouldn't be too disappointed. That may be an auction house ticket noting a lot number. If you happen to stumble across the same coin type listed as lot 579 in a 1920s auction catalogue, even if the coin is not in the auction plates, you'll have strong circumstantial evidence for a provenance. This could prove more valuable than a handwritten collector ticket with no acquisition info. Of course, now you'll have to go search. :joyful:
