I will be submitting this coin to NGC in the near future. Please GTG that NGC will assign of the 1962 Washington Quarter shown below. I have attached a poll for you to cast your vote and you may select up to 3 different things: the numerical grade, * designation, & + grade.

MS-67 I’ve seen it in hand. Very clean, great strike.

They don’t come much better than that. Superb eye-movement through that coin, just as the designer envisioned it. Slight imperfection at the top of the head, but that’s the only distraction I’m seeing in it.

Super nice coin. What would keep it from 68?

Too many marks on the cheek and legs for a 67. I voted 66.

He’s asking us to grade the quarter, not the dime.

66+ should be an easy lock minimum. Will be happy for you if it gets the 67.

67*. Not far from 68, and high eye appeal.

    Looks like 68 ? I'm guessing 67 is a lock ...

66+ ....it looks like 67 is a possibility but I ended up being conservative with NGC's decision

I think it's a straight MS67. Stunningly clean and booming luster. A real beauty.

This coin goes from about $75 in NGC 66 to about $600 in 67 (PCGS 67's go for $2000-$3000)

    Does this change anyone's opinion?

It's a dead cert 66 but you could probably achieve 67

It doesn't change my opinion. I believe this coin is a 67.

It shouldn't. You grade the coin on the merits of the coin, and you shouldn't change those standards in the face of a conditional rarity. I've made a handful of MS67 Washington Quarters in my lifetime; this coin beats them all flat. This is the finest Washington I've ever seen.
