Unlike silver coins, acetone treatment of copper or copper plated coins can result in an undesirable, unnatural coin color. I would agree with Oldhoopster regarding frequent monitoring of the soaking coin. Another option is to do a test run on one or more similar common zincolns in which there would be no loss of coin value with negative results. Dan
