    1975-d penny silver/zinc colored that weighs 2.8g. I don’t know what this could be! D747C787-823F-4D87-B73D-7EA28C8F0703.jpeg F80D7B98-C9C0-4972-9E2D-77C266495388.jpeg 575E2F43-4D17-4AE7-A952-2CD6AFF6A295.jpeg

What does that 1984 cent weights on that scale....

    He showed 2.8 grams.

that is the weight of the 75 cent not the 84 cent. His scale may be off and giving him a false reading.....

That coin is plated..... put the 84 cent on the scale and take a pic of it..

It's a US Mint Cent and it was minted in Denver. As for the color, it was plated, probably in a high school science class.

If it’s plated why is it only 2.8g?

    Your scale is not accurate?

I wouldn’t waste my time posting if it was that simple.

Well it's not the coin. Except it's plated.

Why is it every time I post on here people just point out some of the most stupid obvious reasons that it may not be what it is. My
Scale obviously works. I’ve even tried it on multiple different scales. It isn’t msg magnetic, and the small scratches do not reveal plating.

The only way that’s possible is if it was an underweight planchet and somehow plated with such a thick plating that I can’t scrape it off

It's time to agree to disagree. Have a nice evening.
