    It's very much damaged, not to be used in machinery of any type, especially parking meters. It's only worth $.25 despite its looks.

    The rim was filed down and then the coin was polished. You can see that the features on the obverse and reverse are heavily worn.

    shiny means nothing. You can shine up any coin.
