Is that an rpm and is that doubling on the date and is the L in liberty doubled to left? I took some very good photos from what I thought that showed what I saw in good light but I cannot find them on phone now!
That's a Plating Blister on the Mint Mark and die deterioration doubling. Worthless doubling. Not any kind of Mint Error.
Ok thank you could I post a few diff pics of coins and maybe you tell me if any are worth anything I have a lot of possible errors
What I don’t get is some of the stuff I post or ask about looks exactly Like what other people on you tube or elsewhere say it’s an error then I ask on here and people act like it’s nothing!
Clearly DDD - Die Deterioration doubling. Worthless doubling. Nothing to do with a true Doubled Die variety.
Justjust found this what ya think View attachment 1130885 View attachment 1130886 View attachment 1130887
Isn’t die deterioration on all sides not specifically showing doubling of number but showing on all sides?
On Copper plated zinc cents that is the look you will get.. That is Die Deterioration - http://www.error-ref.com/die-deterioration-doubling-incuse/
Go to this website and click on the worthless doubling tab. It explains it all very well.. https://doubleddie.com
Also all die deterioration doubling.. Listen, most of the issues you will find on coins are die deterioration and mechanical doubling issues. That's why I don't bother looking for any Doubled Dies unless they are the major doubled dies that are known. For me it's a waste of time IMHO
The problem with "you tube etc." is that the ones posting the info are usually NOT informed about Die Deterioration, Die Chips, etc. there are MANY sites available to research, you tube is NOT ONE OF THEM.
