Not sure if this is the appropriate place to solicit this, but if there's anyone interested in going in on a group submission for PCGS modern (US coins since 1965, $300 max/coin), let me know. I'll split up the costs of shipping to PCGS and the PCGS return shipping and handling across all the coins submitted, so you pay your share of that, plus the $16 grading fee, plus return shipping from me. If there are several people with one or two coins, you'll come out way ahead doing it this way. Let me know here or by PM if you're interested or have questions.
Yeah I have a 1968 D half with some smashing toning that I have always wanted graded, but it is quite expensive. With one coin, how much would we have to pay you?
This is the coin. The toning is superb and I need to take better pictures because these are really bad and badly edited too.
Modern fee is $16. $5 more if you want their TrueView high resolution photos. Return shipping starts at $27 per order (not per coin). $10 handling fee per order (not per coin).
It all depends on how many people play and how many coins are sent, so I can't give you an exact number until that is known. As an example, if 10 people each send 1 coin, the cost would be $16 grading, $3.70 for your share of PCGS S&H, and about $4-5 return shipping from me, so $24.70 instead of $48 if you were to send a single coin to PCGS.
I may have some nickels to send in but need to see if they are FS and high enough grade to merit sending in.
They are going quite fast at the moment. Sent in an economy sub rec'd June 1st. They are already in QA and this order included imaging and varieties as well.
hmm I have a nice 96 W Dime and a reverse proof W nickel I just got with my silver set. Not sure either are worth grading though but at the same time I could have you look at my 1884 O Morgan for VAM 29 and my 1887 VAM 19A for stage 7 . May have another one too I can look, ICG said they would look at my 1882 O/S for Vam E EDS
I don't want to drag it out too long, but if you tell me you'll send something, I'll wait for you. The more people participate, the better the deal on postage.
At this time I don't have access to all my coins. I'm disappointed that I can not participate but if you do this again in the future, I hope that you will keep me in mind. Thank you.
It's a better deal on postage for the submission, but if they have to pay postage to you and postage back to them, isn't it a worse deal on postage for them? If they could give you the coins and pick them up in person I can see how it would be a good deal all around, but Idon't see how it works out otherwise.
