Beauty of a nickel! I think it's right on the cusp of 63, but not quite there. I'm guessing MS62+.

Is the reverse on your nickel rotated ~10-15°?

I am at 62. The definition of a true slider. Au in my opinion.

Looks it to me. I would say 10 degrees.

In my (limited) experience, I've found that many 1913 type 1 nickels often share two characteristics: relatively weak obverse strikes and slightly rotated reverses. I haven't yet dug into why. Likely Q.D. Bower's book on Buffalo Nickels would have the answer.

Yeah, but that is wear. When it's mine i would want to justify it also, but I see wear. Thats not weak strike, That is the begining of cicam. @lordmarcovan

I see nothing even remotely CircCam about the coin here. You need contrasting dark and light for a CircCam, which stands for Circulation Cameo. Like this. The word "cameo" comes from the two-toned jewelry items. That coin is all mostly the same color.

I would have a difficult time determining whether this coin is high AU or low MS with a soft strike. It's not my forte. I lean towards the "super-slider" camp. (Edit, no, on second look, MS62-63 might not surprise me, either. I dunno.) What's in the Indian's eye?

    Edit 2- I voted AU58. That's essentially a dartboard guess.

    I vote 62. If I’m wrong, I bet it’s in a 58 slab.

I concur. Those 58/62 super-sliders that straddle the line can be a real conundrum.

Ill go 63..but very easy a 62 the carbon spot on the eye...may not of been showing at the time it was graded. I had one very nice buffalo go south quickly after it was graded...the spots started to show on the surface.
The die used on the op coin was well worn..signs of die deteration shows well.

I may be high but I went 64. This coin really speaks to me.

This one puzzled me and for some reason I think it graded high, so I picked MS 65

Okay, this one is not my usual PGGS or NGC. It is a blue ANACS holder, and the grade may surprise some. I got it as a type coin, several months ago. It is an attractive coin in hand. Overgraded? Maybe so. More like 62-63? E2392EF7-1055-4FEC-8C11-E41D615ADD4B.jpeg
