Wow, Wow and Wow. I'm not a huge purchaser of mint products, so am anxious to hear feedback on this. E-bay could be a very active place in the days to come.
Curious about what kind of sale prices will be offered on these coins. If this is the first and last year of the Buffalo fractionals and the price is right , I may have to take a serious look at purchasing a set. Platinum fractionals may be on my watch list. Thanks for the post Danr.
This is the right time to buy mint bags from the mint. I always wanted to do that, and i hope the price is resonable. The bags of course are sewn mint bags it would be great to search these for errors more exciting then searching bank rolls that's for sure. great news. Jazzcoins joe:whistle:
I went on the Mint site but did not see anything about which products or when the sale starts. I did see an end date though. Oops, nevermind I found the dates at least. Sale starts Nov 15 and goes untill Dec 19. Now I just need to find out what is going to be on sale.
Good God almighty ...our prayers have been answered!!!!!!!! Let us all fall to our knees in thanks on hearing this glorious news. Thanks you..thank you ..thank you.
Lets seek if this link works. A list of stuff the mint is doing whatever with. http://blog.numismaticnews.net/buzz/Mint+Cuts+Bullion+Products+Drastically.aspx
So, have they listed these items for sale yet on the Mint site? If so, what 'section' are they in--anyone know? Thanks. David.
Howdy, It's about time. Cripes, they were selling more and more stuff and so much is just junk. Sorry, but I haven't been impressed. About a month ago, i ordered the 1/2 and 1/4 oz gold unc's with W. I did this because the mintage numbers were so low and the mint had announced it was stopping production of all but the major 1 oz stuff. If indeed, these W series Eagles and Buffs are only a year or so long series, they may turn out to be valuable. Now I may have to take a look at the fractional buffs. rono
Man, the OP posted the link! "Sales of these products begin Saturday, November 15, 2008, at 12:01 a.m. (ET). Many of these products will never be available again from the United States Mint. The sale will end at 5 p.m. (ET) on December 19, 2008."
Yes, I realize that. It would be nice to see an official list of products offered and prices a few days before they become available!!!!
If anyone is interested, a little information from the mint blog. Update http://mintnewsblog.blogspot.com/
