OK, here is a coin from my collection that was purchased several years ago from the late/great CT member rlms_cents. This is one of my favorite coins and it lives in a PCGS slab. Recently, I upgraded my camera from a Canon T3i to a Canon EOS R and just today my 100mm Marco Lens arrived. So, this is my first attempt with the new setup...I've literally had the lens for 2 hours. I think the photo came out OK. What do you think the grade is. Also, any opinions/suggestions on my photos is welcome.
Nice steely. Boy rlm is missed around here. What a great man. Never forgotten. 67 in my eye. Are your lights at 10 and 2?
Mmmm crispy mirrorless EOS R action here. I like! I'm saying MS67. And honestly, don't bother with macros, they cost way too much. Just buy a decent kit lens with a super tight focus range and that's it.
I need the macro for work. I’ve been needing one for shade photography for the dental labs. But I can use it for coins too.
66 Nice coin. Dick was a great guy. He had the best GTG contest this site has ever had. Seems like it went on for almost two years. We used to meet at the ONA show and talk Lincolns. I really miss him.
I miss him too. I stumbled across your post about him in the memorial section and that’s why I choose this coin (and another he sold me) to be the first ones I imaged with my new system.
I'm going to post the answer later this afternoon. Probably around 5pm pacific or so. So, a little more time for everyone to make their guesses.
