    I have no clue how to identify this coin.
    It is from Spain is all I can tell you. Anyone able to
    help me out on this one ?

    Alfonso XI, (1312 - 1350 A.D.)
    Spain, Leon
    Billon Cornado
    O: +ALFON S REX, crowned bust left
    R: CASTELE LEGION•, castle with three towers;
    ME 1182; Burgos 289.

    I could've told you Spain, definitely, but that's as far as I'd have gotten, so it's good @Mat stepped in.

    I just like the way it looked and figured $14 was not a bad price so I went for it.

    A lot of Spanish billion medievals (just like their local ancients) come with nice sandy patinas.
