Can anyone tell me anything about this King Eadmund Anglo Saxon coin? I see one Eadmund coin almost like it online, but the obverse has an extra cross on it 6051671F-3067-4FD5-BD14-2051304990B5_1_201_a.jpeg 1C24EB47-C796-4C3F-8D6C-E1A30D08EA15_1_201_a.jpeg and the reverse has different letters. It was found in Suffolk, England. Thank You in advance.

I wouldn't worry about the extra cross - I think that it is the end of rex - so you have +EADMVNDRE X. A bit odd as other examples are just missing the X or have it after the RE.
However I am having difficulty identifying the mint - looks like the reverse reads +FREDARPNONEIT - but I'm not seeing any mint I recognise there - this issue was transitional between issues with just moneyers names and a more continental MONETA rendering and the beginning of the more English MONEYER MO MINT legend so pinning it down will need a reference to North Vol I my copy of which is securely out of reach (along with most of my library) during lockdown.

Thank you for your input. So this moneyer was FREDARPNONEIT?.. Did moneyers go around the country making coins for kings or were they more stationary?

    Eadmund.
    Fredard moneyer.
Uncertain mint probably in East Anglia.
