I am not an expert but Curtisclay is. I would value his opinion higher than most others. Sorry but to be blunt: Are you an expert, to be able to determine the pitting is fake? I certainly think the pitting is real. And by the way there are Australian companies selling authentic ancients. If you really feel uncomfortable with the coin the company has already agreed to a refund. It's standard practice to ask for the coin to be returned first, it's not a "game".
And you're a guy who apparently calls himself "Axis_History," and either is, or is pretending to be, rather unfamiliar with the English language. Pardon me if I think you don't sound very credible, especially when you won't explain exactly why you think the coin is fake, and why you want a refund before you return the coin. Why are you being so coy? It's very annoying. I've found most people here to be very straightforward, and uninterested in playing games like this.
what games im playing ?? explain .. im trying to warn the whole community for scamming im well-known member here , axis history has nothing to do with it , we talking about specific coin and seller , what is your problem >??
Do you pretend to be a kid [EDIT - keep it on topic please, and refrain from personal attacks and name calling - Mod Team] Well then, here's a specific question: @kolyan760 your first reason listed for it being fake is that it has fake patina. However, the coin that you posted has been stripped of most any and all patination. So, what you are saying is that due to some pretty common holes, that are probably directly related to the stripped patina, it is a fake? Pitting occurs when old build up and patina is taken off. If for any reason, the coin might be fake, it's due to the question of the crack... But I'm spitting in the wind just responding here. Just want to warn you
I honestly don't understand. I think it hasn't been established that the coin is fake. Isn't it a stretch to say the seller is a scammer? However, if you believe it IS fake, the seller has already agreed to refund you, regardless of your reason, once you return the coin to him. That's fair, right? Unless you removed it from a slab or something? And my profile picture isn't a Macedonian shield.
You aren't addressing the points I raised (deliberately?). Just to recap: 1. There isn't agreement on whether the coin is fake. In addition Curtisclay (an expert) believes it's authentic. 2. The coin appears to be with you. Ok, you have concerns about the flan crack. Besides the crack, why do you think the sharpness of the legend, and the corrosion, aren't good indicators of authenticity? But never mind. I think you've made up your mind.
Forgers normally make many fakes. Have you found a fake report of this coin somewhere? Can you share it here?
Enough people, keep it on topic and about the coin. No name calling. No personal attacks. Consider this a friendly reminder.
I guess at this point. Kolyan, if you don’t like the coin you bought you have the right to return it, especially if the seller accepts returns readily. No need to accuse the seller of forgery due to one bad experience
calm down , its not about that .. i dont care about coin , there is tons of them .. second purchase for this month , how would you feel >>??
