Real, but I would only keep it if I found it. Either PMD or a grease filled die. From the picture looks more like damage.
Teens and 20s dates frequently found this way. Either last 2 dates wore badly, greased filled die, whatever. I bet you I could find a few if I wanted to dig through my bank bags of wheat cents. Not only not a premium, actually a detriment. Kind of like a dateless buffalo nickel.
Unless I'm seeing things, I'm pretty sure it's a 1909P. Look closely. It's somewhat odd to see that particular date so roughed up.
