Finally low mintage!

I consider 5 leading zeros to be low, and personally collect serial number 12.

5 Zeroes are tough to find in circulation.. I've only ever gotten two of them in change over 30 some odd years.. though I wasn't actively looking... would just pay attention to my change

Did find a few more with 4-Zeroes but this is one of my favorites.. was so shocked to find it out there in the wild.. couldn't believe nobody else kept it

 

Low serial for me is 999 and below (5 zeros then 999 or below).

If you find any in circulations, you are very lucky. Many banks now have clients that pay them to get the low#s, stars, and all the same numbers I feel. In the past, I have gotten many new star notes. Today, not as much. The banks have special people that look for such now. At one time at some of my banks, I knew tellers that helped me, but not now.

 

I have to start using cash again. I haven't used a tangible bill for maybe over a year now. Not intentionally, I just haven't needed to.

I had tellers sell me silver at spot after hours 10 years ago. But not today

 

I don't use cash at all. All cards but I only pull cash for searches

 

If one doesn't use cash then you will not find the circulation ones will you. You end up having to buy them later.

 

I just go to the bank and withdraw $1000 in 1s weekly to search
