2005 Bahamas Quarter

I just want to thank everyone for their advice and knowledge, I’m having a great time on this site. I figured I’d show some other coins I’ve managed to find. This one is from 2005, and is a Bahamas 25 cent piece

Just found this out recently...The reverse side represents the famous Bahama Yacht races. The Nassau Yacht Club was founded in 1931.

 

All that just makes Meow think of the Flying Saucer in Thunderball.

 

Interesting. I didn't know that about the yacht race. I find these fairly often in the coinstar reject cup at my local grocery store. Someone is having way more fun than me.

Yes..."Someone" is yachting and sunning themselves to a golden or bronze colour.

 

And then coming back to my crappy town to dump their change in the coinstar lol.

 

Envy not...my dear fellow. Not only did they lose the exchange of a valuable(?) 2 bit coin(s), but they were also charged 10% for the CoinStar usage...and perhaps their yacht sank with all their riches...

 

Fingers crossed haha.

There are a number of nice designs on Bahamas coinages. We get dead presidents.
