Came across this nice looking Titus. Looks like a choice EF example, and in my opinion, fine style. One of the finest styles I’ve seen for a Titus denarius, especially on a left facing obverse. Little weakness on the reverse strike I have attributed it as: Imp. Titvs caesar vespasian avg. P.M laureate head left. Reverse radiate figure on rostral column as last. RSC 291. Any thoughts/corrections appreciated.
Fine style indeed! And in better condition than my example. Of note, the type is fairly rare with a left facing portrait. RIC 47 (R). BMC 28. RSC 291. BNC 27.
Thanks all. Decided to go with this one after considering a few other examples. Coming from Europe but hopefully looks as good in hand - whenever it gets delivered...
