If these aren't proofs, then perhaps you have some very high grade coins struck off center, although i'm no expert on errors
Too out-of-focus for me to tell, but they do appear to be higher grade specimens. I'm NO on them being proofs, but I'm not the IHC guru by any stretch. Rims and the irregularities seem out-of-place for them to be proofs I think. With better photos, folks should be able to give you a grade for each.
Yep. These are (photos not clear) real nice coins. But they do look off. God help us. Let them be real
The lighting is not all that bad. If you can get the images in focus, folks can be of more help. You might try moving the camera away from the coin a bit. That might help with the focus.
I think the 1862 may be counterfeit, image is too out of focus to tell so I am probably/may be wrong.
I've found that moving the camera away and cropping is always better than getting in close and being blurry.
NEW PHOTOGRAPHS! Thank you HotWheel for the photography tip. I've got cataracts (and I'm not even 60 years old) that I'm dealing with so blurry, double-vision is a fact of life for me until we exit this COVID-19 thing. Another question about cleaned or damaged coins. I already have slabbed by PCGS 1909-S VDB Genuine ...92 1909-S VDB Genuine ....98 1955 Genuine DDO....92 (the other two 55s came back AU50 and MS63 BN) 1903 St. Gaudens Genuine...92 ====== Are there people wanting to buy cleaned coins or are they pariah to collectors? So far nothing from his collection has been proven counterfeit or body bagged. This potentially is heartbreaking if the Flying Eagles and Indians are cleaned, not to mention the expense.
Nice looking coins!! My guesses are: 1859 AU58 at around $250 1862 PR65 at around $2000 1882 AU50 details at around $40 As I noted, not an IHC guru but using Photograde and Ebay Coins completed sales, this is what I found. Wait for the others to chime in.
Those are much better pictures! They all look genuine to me. What I thought were some casting flanges turned out to be rim damage in the 1882, which is a shame. A agree that the 1862 is a proof, and a lovely one at that.
