1949 Cadillac covered in pennies. A friend forwarded this to me and I thought I'd share. It is covered with $383.95 pennies and well done. It includes a 1817 Large cent, two error pennies (doesn't specify) and four 1943 steel cents. It added 196 pounds to the cars weight. I just wonder if he had to bend or cut any to make those curves and tight places. https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/family-covers-car-38-000-pennies-article-1.1903237
That is awesome! I think that these pennies make it very special! I would wish there was a picture of that 1817 cent I also like the sign on the car: "Please touch the car!" Anytime you see a special car, the sign always says "DON'T touch the car!" How fun.
They used to have one of these type of gimmicks at the Ripley's Believe It Or Not tourist attraction up in San Francisco when I was a kid. It was a different type of car. And I'm not sure if it was pennies or another type of coin. Looked like pennies to me. I'd like the Cadillac a lot more without the pennies. Cheap way to make a tourist attraction, didn't even cost more then $400 (in pennies). Time consuming though.
