Thanks. I thought it would be a while before I could afford one, but surprise, surprise, $500 got it. I think it is in excellent condition. What grade would you give it?

 

Looks a lot like mine. I’m thinking it should grade similar, but photos can be deceiving.

Very nice display. I hope your dad has a plain painted wall so it will show off those notes.

 

This is a new direction for me. I'm fascinated by the large size notes right now.

 

A second recent purchase. I look forward to a future show when I can sit at a table and see a dealer's inventory in person.

That A/U grade looks awful nice

 

Notes that grade AU (Almost Uncirculated) have always been some of my favorites notes for getting the most bang for your buck. Sometimes you can’t find any folds or distractions, all while saving the difference in price between AU and GEM.

 

Okay, I know I just posted a 1935A experimental R note )body 7180), but I couldn't resist this one to replace it, as I feel it is in much better condition.

 

Then what's knocking the grade down in your opinion, which presumably is something you need to see in hand ?

 

Looks really clean, but those margins are kind of tough.

 

What kind of serial is this called? Just got this in cash back at the store this evening.

First interesting serial in weeks. It's circulated and with a surface smudge on the upper right corner. But at least it's not a rag
