ok, this probably won't affect your decision at all, But I think if I was going to get one of those, I would go big, or just take off home with tail between my legs. MS + shawn
My concern would be a lack of return policy as well as he states it is better than 22K, which means it is above 91.67% gold (22K), whereas Breen states the kellogg was 90% fine. You might ask him for wt. and diameter. I doubt it myself. Jim
Title states "1 OZ $20". From my memory of gold pricing, that probably means 1 oz. avdp, not troy ounce.
Well that should be interesting. Breen states the Kellogg $20 should weigh 33.3-33.42 grams. A troy oz = 31.103 grams and avoirdupois ounce is 28.3495 grams. I was hoping he might get the weight in grams. But I have never even seen a real Kellogg in person. I also have questions about someone who tests a "super rare" coin with acid to check purity. Jim
Is that what is meant when it is said to hold a coin by the edges? That's not how I do it. Still nice, but I would worry about a bait and switch with that description.
I'm told it's authentic but in it's condition, only worth around 2 or 3 thousand dollars. But considering how hard it is to find, it's still a nice coin and I'd be proud to have it in my collection. :thumb: Thanks for sharing it with us! I wish I could afford it! Ribbit
I would personnaly prefer one in much better shape(I think this one is ugly) however this coin could have a lot of potential for trading later on down the road....
Ahh, but for 2-3 grand I could get another very nice 1955 DDO lincoln , or maybe even buy Stainless's Gorgon ( which is a nice looking coin). Jim
I can think of a ton of things I could get for that price. I'd rather have 40 more Connecticut Cents, or 20-30 DBC's in my collection, than that one coin. :thumb: But if I had to pick one coin only, I'd say a decent 1799 or 1804 DBC. Ribbit
Questionable authenticity. Damaged coin. Sold raw on eBay with no return policy. Are you nuts, or do you just like to gamble? No bid.
