I purchased a group of coins from ToughCOINS® back in January. The overall experience was superb! It all started when I took a look at one of his old sales threads that still had a number of available coins in it.

After making an original offer for the thirty-eight coins he had available (and an inquiry on another on hold), six days (only because of F.U.N. and a birthday) and one counter-offer later, we made a deal.

I paid by check with absolutely no problems. From the time of sending payment to receipt of the package was only two and a half weeks. ToughCoins provided excellent communication and the coins were well packaged.

Now, the coins were all raw and sight-unseen. I considered photos on only one coin and am well pleased with it. The rest of the coins were as described and the prices were well within reason.

The purchase included a twenty-seven coin "mystery" lot of sorts. TouchCoins described it as "all original, as bought, not cherry-picked and not even checked for varieties." He then started describing the lot as "A Half Cent, a couple of seated quarters, and the rest large cents, some better and some not, some damaged and some not," then mentioned an 1813 large cent.

My curiosity was immediately piqued with the mention that there was a half cent in there with no cherry-picking for varieties...could it be??

When I received the package, I immediately sought out the half cent. It was an 1809, so I examined it and, lo and behold, it was not a Cohen-1...but it was a Cohen-2! That's probably the best sight-unseen "mystery" I have ever purchased.

I will certainly consider TouchCoins again. His grading and attribution are more than decent. His pricing and openness to negotiate are commendable. This was most certainly one of the better online purchasing experiences I have had with coins. Thank you!

Thank you Mike. The Lincoln medal is great. Don't think I have ever seen one as nice. It fits really well in my collection.
