The wavy marks you see look to me to be die deterioration marks. Die gets used a lot and the die deteriorates and you see these kind of wavy lines. The dings you see could be bag marks. The coins are dumped into bags and shipped off to the various distribution points. They get banged around a bit. The marks also could be from damage they received in circulation.
Time to clean your sink.. I can't stand having anything dirty stay in it too long. And your nickel is not a quarter.
