Should i get this 63 half dollar graded and what would your guys grade be on it. And i went ahead and bought a 2020 P pcgs ms70 and a ngc ms69. Ill post pictures later on. But i went ahead and bought them. I slept on it and wanted them still the next morning
That is a beautiful coin. If you want to protect it, then a slab may be the way to go. If you are looking to increase its value, yes, get it certified.
Yes, it came in a mint set in the cellophane, i took em all out and put it in one of those capital holders. I was wondering on what itd grade out as. It has the full bell lines, just faintly. But i won a bid for 10 dollars on ebay that came in the envalope too.
I'll guess PF63. I see a PF67 on e-bay for $30 with free shipping, so that would be better than grading this one.
I also think the half is a proof coin. The entire set looks like a proof set. Don't know why NGC is calling those SAE's "emergency" coins. They weren't issued because of any emergency. The West Point Mint was closed for two weeks so it could be sanitized and the Philadelphia Mint took over production until West Point was reopened. If you take it out of the slab, would you be able to tell where it was minted? Looks like they'll go to any lengths to take your money.
Nice proof, but I don’t see any value in having it slabbed. It will cost you more than the coin is worth. why do you want it slabbed?
No reason i guess other then easier to sell for my boys or wife later on if there not in to collecting like iam. Only coin ive ever bought thinking about maybe selling later on was just recently that 2020 p from NGC I posted. Other then that i like looking at em and thinking about what they've been thru, who've theyd payed. Things like that.
