Condition is a HUGE part of a coin's value. Do you have a photo?

    Oh, and welcome to CoinTalk.

    Your 1933 Peso is 0.7200 Silver, ASW , 34mm.
    Mintage- 43,920,00
    Unc. $6.50
    BU-$8.50

The prices are from March 2008.

Now if you have the 1933/2 we are talking different prices.

Can you post a photo of the peso.

The prices are not written in stone. It also depends on the condition of the coin, if you are selling it, the buyer. I hope this helps

Goldman, I would suggest you read the "Redbook" Guidebook of United States Coins" first for general information and well written for starters. A public library usually have a copy as well as Barnes & Noble, etc. Then you can get more info by reading through different areas of interest on this forum and even other forums.

For foreign coins, I am a little at a loss except for Mexico. I have several specialized books for Mexico ( since I live only 12 miles from the border). Maybe someone else might have a better book suggestion.

The market for Mexican coins (especially later date silver) has been
pretty weak for a long time. Unless it's pretty nice it might be diff-
icult to find a buyer at much over melt. They're great coins but they
do tend to be pretty common.
