i think i have a severe struck through threads penny on reverse.

    That looks to be something else. Some weird design caused by a chemical. But post mint.

    Show full sized pictures of both sides with a black background.

    I've seen something similar posted on CT before. Several years ago I believe. The person dipped it in acetone and it went away whatever it was.

    Exactly not a struck thru threads.
    That coin is circulated and should not be confused with an actual error.

    That 'stuff' was not on the coins' surface when it was

    As mentioned, soak it in acetone to see if the "threads" remain or disappear. It does not appear to be a 'struck through' in my opinion.

    looks like covered (partially) with acrylic, or some glue, then it crackled....pmd, imo
