1942/1 Dime

    Here is a piece I picked up last week. I love overdates. Love to hear any opinions and please post yours if you feel the need.

    That's one of the greatest looking errors of all time! Has that dime been polished?

    I don't believe so I have seen many polished but this doesn't look like them at all im truly not sure. very hard to take pictures of this one. these were taken under direct sunlight.

    It's a great error! I don't have to enlarge your photos to see it. I don't have and photos as it's not in my possession at this time but I just bought the 1942/1-D. I should have it next week. The D is not as easy to see as the Philly dime.

    Congrats on a great overdate! She's a beauty!

    While metal detecting I found many 1942 Mercs & each time it was a thrill... until I got a closer look and found no over-date!
    Congrats on acquiring this elusive example,

    That is such a cool coin. It does look polished to me though also.
