The placement of the digits in the date looks wrong, so I believe it is a counterfeit.

I see that there are 3 different 2008's.
    2008
    2008-W Burnished
    2008-W Reverse of 2007

I agree! The date should be level across the exergue without touching the top or bottom. The stars above the eagle are smaller. The curved dash between "SILVER" and "ONE" should have squared ends rather than pointed ends. These are just a few things that I noticed. ~ Chris

I purchased the coin from the Patriotic Mint.
I understand the flourish between letters are right on the 2007 reverse. It was one of the differences noticed on the W burnished .
I will remove the coin from its plastic and see if it distorted the photos.
I would be leary to buy anymore from them if it is a fake! Hmmmm...

The Patriotic Mint. Never heard of them. If you remove it you probably void any return possibilities.

Sorry man, I think you got scammed.

I have a 2002 ASE and the 0's look not right at all.

Also in the reverse ribbon, the relief of the lettering looks off, that might just be the photo though.

    I'm fairly certain it's fake.

Definitely fake, date is too wide, 8 is too high

All the font not the reverse looks wrong too. I agree with the others. It looks like a fake.

It's fake. Might not even be silver. Hopefully, you bought it recently. Get your money back, either by having them refund it or by involving your credit card company. If they say it's been too long, a reminder that it is illegal to sell fakes might help. The bigger question is if they're stocking these to sell in quantity.
