I have searched the internet to see if the new 2020 P National Park (Samoa) quarter has any reported doubling. I have not found any articles on it as of yet. So I am asking you to take a look at my pictures.

From what I've read and pictures I've studied it looks very much like doubling. I tried getting as many close ups as I could, so please be kind! LOL
I trust your opinions and hope maybe, just maybe, after months of looking at coins I finally have a coin with actual doubling on it. Not looking to get rich, just looking to say I finally found one!

That would be MD - Mechanical Doubling
    That's unfortunately worthless doubling IMHO

Well, the date certainly looks like MD, but the E Pluribus and American Samoa would've had me going pretty good. There do appear to be split serifs on the R and L that might've made me jumpy;)
@Sharon Robinson - could you see it with the naked eye?

    It is incused machine doubling.

Since the single squeeze method of making dies was introduced I don't believe there has ever been a Doubled Die produced that has this much rotation. The single squeeze method will double the central designs not the perimeter designs.

That is MD. It's flat and shelf like. It's a form of NAV or No Added Value Doubling.

I would agree with the common consensus of MD. I have had the same thought in the past multiple times with thinking some cases of MD were true doubling, so it happens to the best of us lol.
Keep searching though! Took me a LONG time to finally find a true doubled die, but it was well worth the wait! With more experience, you'll know when you come across one. (I also did not know as much then, so I may have passed some up in my earlier years of the hobby:nailbiting:. I try not to think about it haha.)

Thank you all for your comments.

In the past I have had many MD coins. this one was different. The doubling seemed more pronounced rather than a flat shelf with split serifs.

GenX - My eyes are not that good right now, need new eye exam so not sure how much can be seen with naked eye. I can't even thread a needle right now! LOL
