All I keep hearing is there are only a handfull of these known...i have a fewwwww 1969s pennies...this is the Only one that appears different than my other 16
There is a well know variety called a Doubled Die that is extremely hard to find. Here is the information - https://www.pcgs.com/top100/coin7 Your Cent is definitely not a Doubled Die.
Everybody thinks they've acquired a DDO/DDR. It's just too rare. Of those 500 million minted, there's probably only a hundred DDO/DDR's (Forgot which one occurs). 1 in about 5 million. (It's why they're worth some big bucks.)
The 1969 S Doubled Die Obverse 1 is probably the second rarest ddo known after the 1958 ddo 1. Only a few dozen exist. PCGS has certified 2 MS 64 Red examples. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/doubledies/1969Sddo1.html
For some reason he has a 1972 cent in the mix of photos. That piece MIGHT BE one of the minor 1972 Doubled Die cents. There are quite a number of them. Only one really has very much value.
There you go...just plant that seed. Now I got to pull them all back out and look again, you know...just to be sure. Hmmmm.
Yea tell em my bubble busting buddy.. This is what it's suppose to look like..aint that right Paddyman.lol
